Bobby and Francis

Sexy Dingo started with this painting. A couple of years after my grandmother Francis died, I decided to start painting again. Art was my major in college and I had done a few canvases but I didn't really have a direction.

The dog, Bobby, was Francis' and I basically grew up with this dog. When Francis died I wanted to paint a tribute to a wonderful lady and true friend.

The postcard in Bobby's mouth is St. Francis. The St. of all animals and the name of my grandmother. The cross on Bobby's collar is from one of Francis' rosaries and tulips were her favorite flowers. The glowing light behind Bobby gives it an angel like glow which I thought fitting since they are most likely together now.

Bobby is now my logo and has been painted many times throughout the years.
