Family Tree

It's been very interesting hearing different reactions about the Ely paintings. For the most part people love them and want them immediatly. But there is a large group of people that are turned off and irritated at the simple cartoon guy that is always smiling.

They grumble and say something negative, but then they can't look away. Eventually a tiny half smile appears on their face and they bring their friend by to see the whimsical painting. "I kind of like it" they say, and leave me with an approving smile.
